CHRIS BUCK RELEASES “ANSWERS” ALBUM

For Immediate Release, March 21, 2023: Sakamoto Music is excited to release the first full album on the label, just over a year after it’s inception and signing Chris Buck (Band) as the first artist. Buck’s ‘Answers’ album will release digitally across platforms on March 31, featuring released singles “She Gone”, “Thank God For Good Friends,” and “Can’t Beat The View,” as well as four more previously unheard tracks, including focus track “Wild and Free”, and the title track “Answers”.

After spending a couple years working hard on his songwriting, Chris Buck has emerged in the past year with new songs, a new label, a new publishing deal, and a new perspective. “Wow, we’re finally at the release of my third album!” says Chris Buck. “What an adventure to put together! I recorded it during the pandemic, both at Al Capone’s former residence; Castle Studios in Tennessee, and in my home province of BC. It was an honor working with hit producers Jeremy Stover, Julian King, Dan Swinimer, Jeff Johnson, JUNO-nominated mixer Jay Dufour, and to write the songs with some of the best in the world at Red Creative/Anthem Entertainment. I can’t wait for them to be heard.”

“We’ve seen really positive growth for Chris in over the last year, and as a new label we couldn’t be happier with the progress to date,” says Joelle May, Director of Promotions & Artist Services at Sakamoto Music, “For the label’s first full length album release, we are so happy it’s with Buck!”

The video for his current single just released earlier this year, “She Gone”, reached nearly 96,000 views in it’s first two weeks live, and is continuing to climb in streams, fast becoming Chris’ most popular song. His growth over the last year sees a 40% increase in average monthly listeners across platforms, proving Chris Buck is back!

‘Answers’ represents Buck’s growth as a songwriter, finding his stride and settling into his voice, though it’s only the beginning of what’s to come. Chris continues to actively write songs in Nashville through his publishing deal with Anthem Entertainment, and returns to Canada this spring to play shows and tour radio across the country. MORE ABOUT CHRIS BUCK:
Since the release of the 2017 Billboard Top 20 hit That’s When You Know featuring Kira Isabella, Chris Buck has amassed nearly 15 million streams, a gold record, and a CCMA Award nomination for Video of the Year. Buck released ALL IN in 2019, his second album, adding to his total five Top 40 singles. According to Chris, it’s that gradual climb through the ranks which has continued to help him grow over the years, as well as help him understand who he is as an artist and performer — and he wouldn’t have it any other way. These days he’s been penning and recording some of the strongest material of his career, and recently signed with Anthem Music Publishing, as well as new record label Sakamoto Music, distributed by Warner Music Canada. Emerging with new music in 2022, Chris’ first two singles alone from his upcoming album, have added another million streams to his catalogue this year, before the full album’s release.
